In 2003 the school felt that only direct management of their catering service would allow them to provide the sorts of menus that they felt were appropriate for the pupils and staff.

to be used by pupils to pay for their school meals. This technology was implemented in Warden Park school in June 2008.

Also in the winter of 2010, Warden Park was featured on Meridian an South Today News. They were in the news for the efforts they had made to re-open the school due to the bad snow and ice. Many parents, governors, students and residents from the area helped out in the efforts of freeing the school from snow.
