Waitemata rugby football and Sports Club

Waitemata Rugby Football and Sports Club is a rugby club based in Waitakere City, Auckland. They play in the Auckland club Rugby competition. Waitemata was founded in 1927 after an amalgamation of the Hobsonville, Waimauku and Swanson clubs.

They were based at Smythe Park until 1951 when they moved to their present day grounds at Waitemata Park on Swanson Road.

Waitemata have won the Gallaher Shield on four occasions with the most recent being a 26-14 victory over University in 2003.
