History

Throughout the 1990s, WWBU was WRIQ-FM "CD Country". In January 1999, new ownership changed the format to a trendy format known around the country as "jammin' oldies"

 music format. After two more years of more mediocre success, WWBU adopted a News/Talk format. In August 2008, SuperTalk became SuperSports 101.7, though the call letters WWBU were never changed despite that they were short for "Bubba Country".
