History

WSGE signed on the air in October 1980 with an effective radiated power of 3,000 watts. In January 2005, the college approved a lease with Clear Channel Communications

Programming

WSGE identifies itself as "Your Eclectic Music Station." Its programming is mostly Adult Album Alternative [AAA] formatted music with special emphasis on local, independent musicians and live in-studio performances. is featured every Saturday night providing mostly deep cuts from the great music of the 60's and 70's, beach music on Friday evening and Saturday daytime, you will also hear some great blues music on Saturday afternoon. Sunday has gospel in the morning, classic corner late morning and early afternoon followed by big band music.
