WKDZ-FM has been recognized many times for its community service and even won a Marconi Award for "Small Market Station Of The Year" in 2008. WKDZ-FM has been consistently nominated for, or won, the coveted NAB Crystal Award for Community Service.

In 2004, Ham Broadcasting moved from their former Will Jackson Road location to a new 4100 square feet (380.9 m²) facility at Broadbent Square in east Cadiz.
