In late 2006, WIDL flipped formats from a variety hits format to a locally programmed Hot AC format which positions itself as "The Best Mix of The 80's 90's and Now". Past formats have included adult contemporary, classic rock and oldies.

As of January 2011, weekday programming/lineup includes; The Mix Morning Drive By, with Derek Bosely and Bob Hughes; Derek Bosely during mid-days; and Fish (Kirstin Fish) during the afternoon drive.
