, and its repeater WLLG-FM, both acting as translators. In May 2007, WBRV-AM became independent and began broadcasting an Oldies format. The new station was called "Oldies 900". In February 2010, Flack Broadcasting acquired former North Country Public Radio

 translator W290BX at 105.9 FM. The FM translator allows WBRV to be heard 24 hours a day, since WBRV-AM is a daytimer. Shortly after signing on the FM translator, WBRV changed its name from "Oldies 900" to "The Blizzard", but kept the same format.
