Life and career

Lynch was born in Oshawa, Ontario to an Irish mother and a Canadian father. He spent much of his time growing up between Canada and Ireland. He began his career at 18 as the world's youngest major market imaging producer at CKQB & produced many syndicated album premiers including The Strokes

, Is This It & U2, All That You Can't Leave Behind. Lynch then went on to launch CIKR which was the most successful station launch in radio history. As a rock station it launched at No. 1 in its first ratings period and stayed in that position for the rest of Lynch's tenure.
At 23 Lynch moved to the UK to produce a network of 48 radio stations for GWR Group. From the pop network Lynch moved to a national audience as Creative Director for Virgin Radio
