Schemes by Government of India

Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna

It is scheme by government of India to achieve 4% growth rate in agriculture during the 11th five year plan (2007–2012).

Pradhanmantri Gram Sadak Yojna
It is a scheme for which World Bank has sanctioned a loan of $1.5 million to improve the road connectivity to rural parts of India. Received Rs 12,000 Cr in Union budget 2010–2011

Swarnajayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojna
It is meant to create employment through self help groups and NGOs. Received Rs 2984 Cr in budget 10–11 for establishing micro enterprises in rural areas; swarojgaris will have 50% SC/ST, 40% women and 5%disabled. Also includes mahila kisan sashaktikaran pariyojna which received 100 CR out of 2984 Cr

National Rail Vikas Yojna
To stregthen railways connectivity of golden qudrilateral, also improving rail based port connectivity for movement of containers

Sampoorna Gramin Rojgar Yojna
It is meant to create employment for families living under Below Poverty line

Sarva Shikhsa Abhiyan
It was a scheme launched after 86th amendment to the constitution of India. It was to provide compulsory education to children of the age 6-14.

Jawharlal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission
Its major mission is to improve the conditions of living in urban centers of India, It includes Rajiv awaas Yojna.It was launched to pucca houses to people under BPL in India.

National Rural Health Mission
It is a mission to provide health care facilities and promote local traditions which promote good health(AYUSH). It works through Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA). It aims to improve healthcare in rural population throughout the country with special focus on 18 states. IT is an articulation of government commitment to increase public spending on Health from 0.9% of GDP to 2-3% of GDP. Its time period is 2005–2012

Aadhar
Unique identification number for Indians which will have information about their demographic profile and can be used for linking bank accounts, for public distribution system. First ten UID were given in Thembli villege in Nandurbar in maharashtra on 29 sept 2010 which included Hitesh Sonaware (a 4 year child)

Sabla
In Nov 2010, Home Minister P. Chidambaram launched a scheme Sabla or the Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Adolescent Girls as a pilot project in 200 most backward districts to address the nutritional and special training aspects of girls between the age of 11–18 years (http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/article898568.ece)
