Divine, Graceful Param Pujya Acharya Vijayanand Suri also known as Acharya Atmaram ji was the first Swetambar Murtipujak Jain monk in modern times to receive the title of Acharya

He was born in 1821 CE in a Kapoor
Khatri
family. At the age of 16, he was initiated in Sthanakvasi
) Jain order. Later in VS 1875, he was initiated by Param Pujya Panyas Muni Buddhivijaya of Tapa Gachchha
.
In 1886, he was conferred the title of Acharya after a gap of nearly four centuries.
He was famous worldwide and hence in 1893 he was invited to participate in the first ever World religions Parliament at Chicago and since Jain Monks do not travel overseas he sent Virchand Gandhi from Mahuva
to America
to participate in the World Parliament of Religions and it was Gurudev's blessings that Virchand Raghav Gandhi won Silver medal in 1893 at Chicago and was covered by many USA periodicals.. Virchand Gandhi is now regarded to be the father of American Jainism.

famous as Punjab kesari, disciple of Param Pujya Acharya Atmaramji took his teachings to the masses and successfully nationally built many schools, hospitals and educational institutes which was Acharya atmaramjis dream.
Today most of the Jain Business tycoons worldwide have taken education from Education institutes by Acharya Atmaramji- acharya Vijay Vallabh suri.
Currently nearly 1000 out of 1400 jain monks are belongs to Atmaramji Maharaj family.
Shri Prem -Ramchandra surishwarji and Prem- Bhuuvan bhanu surishwarji samuday is also belongs to Atmaramji Maharaj. This two samuday altogether has nearly 820 Monks.
