Radio career

Veena V started her radio career at the age of 15. She was picked to be one of the last 22 contestants out of thousands in the London's 95.8 Capital FM's radio star contest, where the winner was given the opportunity to present their own show on the station to over a million listeners. At 16 she joined Oxford's FM 107.9 and at 18 moved to London to become one of the radio personalities on Asian radio at Club Asia.

In late 2007, Veena left her popular show on Club Asia to front the Breakfast show on a new station called Asian FX. After helping in the launch of this new station on DAB, Veena departed from the station in July 2008.
