Geography

Farmlands surround the villages with mainly of groves around the area. The mountain is to the west northwest. The most famous landmark is Cape Geraki. Near the cape is beautiful sandy beaches marking the eastern part of Laganas Bay. The ridges is to the southeast and are divided into two, The upper part of the ridge are forested while the western part of the ridge has been eroding in the northwestern part and the southern part. The southern part of the ridge is where the cape is founded.

Vasilikos has a small kindergarten school, a school, a church and a square (plateia

The entire population prior to the late-20th century were entirely rural and were also farmers. Today, they are the minority of the population of the settlement. Pavement and electricity were cut off until the mid to late 20th century when tourism arrived in Vasilikos.
