methodologies. Valtech employs an agile approach to build business and technology platforms and incorporates creativity, strategy and analytics to create open ecosystems that enable memorable customer experiences

A thought leader in Agile methodology, software quality, IT knowledge transfer and open source solutions, Valtech helps companies consistently develop software that meets the business need in less time than with traditional development methods.

Valtech has pioneered its offerings to use the same Agile and Lean modalities that it teaches to its clients. For example, the Software OnDemand, Performance OnDemand and ValueStream OnDemand offerings are Agile StoryPoint-based offerings with FeaturePoint pricing.

The newest set of offerings focus the company into areas that corporations find as pain points. There are new Agile-Lean offerings for Digital Marketing, Product Management, Solution Development, and Program/Project Management. The favorable response to these new offerings has demonstrated that the company has listened to its customers and is able to offer the innovation in the marketplace to drive mutually beneficial value.

For every service and consulting offering that the company offers, they follow the basic lean methodology, namely, to
  • Add nothing but value (eliminate waste)
  • Center on the people who add value
  • Flow value from demand (delay commitment)
  • Optimize across organizations

At the Agile 2010 conference, Valtech announced that it was becoming a founding member of the International Consortium for Agile (ICAgile). Commenting on the occasion, Dr. Alistair Cockburn (a co-author of the 2001 Agile Manifesto), stated
The main objective of the International Consortium for Agile is to increase professionalism and competency in the agile community. The participation of Valtech and other leading active organizations in the Agile community allows us to refine our certification objectives to fully meet industry needs.

Distinguishing Features

Valtech is unique in the industry in that it bills itself as a digital consultancy and uses Agile software development techniques to create digital experiences that transform how customers do business.
