Curriculum

Years 7-11 have about 150 pupils per year. Vale of Ancholme is one of three schools in North Lincolnshire which have a sixth-form, another of which, Sir John Nelthorpe School

, is also in Brigg; the two operate together as the Brigg Sixth Form College to spread the workload rather than duplicating curriculum.

In 2011 the Vale had GCSE results of 56% grades A*-C, which was close to the local education authority's average of 52%. However, Sir John Nelthorpe School achieved 65% A*-C.
