The channel launched on March 15, 2008 at 10 p.m. In the analogue offer from the major cable network, Yousee, it replaced a timeshare between the channel's Pan-European equivalent VH1 Europe

, will however not broadcast the Danish channel, continuing their relays of VH1 Europe instead.

Dedicated Danish programming for the channel is at the launch limited to a weekly chart show hosted by the radio personality Dan Rachlin. The rest of the schedule will be made up of music videos and content from various channels from MTV Networks.

Initially, the channel was broadcasting between 12 p.m. and 6 a.m. In the morning, Nickelodeon

The Danish broadcast is not available on satellite, as MTV Networks haven't made an agreement with Canal Digital and Viasat. Instead the Pan-European version is available on satellite for Danish viewers.
