, New York. It began publication in 1909. During the 1920s it was tied to the Estonian Language Federation of the United Communist Party of America. As of 1925 it had a weekly circulation of 550. Its editor then was Aleksander Kovel.

During the Second World War, the newspaper supported the Soviet side in the war and approved of the forceful integration of Estonia into the USSR.

Uus Ilm stopped being published in 1989 due to lack of purchasers.
