History

UDECU was founded in 1976 by Kevin J. O'Neill. The organization's first ambulance was a 1976 Chevrolet C20 van, which was retrofitted in the home driveway of the organization's faculty advisory, Jack Lynn. Today it operates a Horton 364 Type III ambulance.

Awards

UDECU has received the National Collegiate EMS Foundation's Striving for Excellence award in 1999, 2002, 2005 and 2009 and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians
