 through a partnership. This public school was started in 2004, with a small body of faculty, headed by principal Elizabeth Colli, and a freshman class of one hundred students. The school has changed locations since its inception. It was previously located on the Asylum campus of the University of Hartford on Elizabeth Street in Hartford, but is now in a brand new facility on Mark Twain Drive on the main campus in Hartford. Some courses offered to freshmen include Conceptual Physics and Introduction to Engineering Design. All engineering courses are Project Lead the Way and all courses are honors level or higher, Advanced Placement courses are available in Biology and Chemistry. University of Hartford college credit courses are also offered to students free of charge as well as University of Connecticut

for six years. The team meets after school on a regular basis and is supervised by Mr. Gary Swanson and Mr. Robert Caruso, both Mathematics and Engineering teachers at the school. Several students on the team are appointed as captains who assist with leadership.
