Universal Warning Records is a record label located in the greater Philadelphia area. They produce and release independent music from local and national bands, as well as produce music video's and live concerts for dvd - primarily from the Indie, Punk, and Hardcore genres.

History

The label was established in the Spring of 2000 by founders Tim Martinkovich, Mike Varga, and Clint Weiler
Clint Weiler
Clinton S. Weiler is a Phoenixville, Pennsylvania-based music publicist. A native to Birdsboro, PA and a 2001 graduate of Kutztown University, he's best known for his publicity work with past and present punk legends. He is founder of Clint Weiler Publicity & Public Relations and works for MVD...

. The three met while studying at Kutztown University. The label was created as a foundation for the partner’s punk-alternative band, The Covert Agency and to promote area acts that the partners appreciated.

After releasing a compilation of several regional Pennsylvanian bands entitled “The Warning Compilation”, Universal Warning Records went on to release full lengths and EPs of several area bands such as ManAlive! and then to acts from other places such as Victim of Modern Age from South Louisiana and Against Tomorrows Sky from Colorado.

In the Spring of 2008, Weiler left the label to pursue his own interests and ventures including Aggronautix. The remaining partners have used his talents as a publicist after his departure.

Since their foundation in 2000, Universal Warning Records has had offices in Royersford, PA, Pottstown, PA, Denver, CO and Richmond, VA

To date, the label has released 19 CDs, 4 Records, 4 DVDs and Filmed nearly 100 live shows including Earth Crisis

In May 2011 Universal Warning Records will see it's 10th year anniversary and the upstart of two new label imprints Fast Break Entertainment and Candy Colored Dragon.

  • Universal Warning Records got their start releasing music by working with Ryan Fennical and his Marshalls Creek area recording studio.
