The complex located on Skelhorne Street in the L3 district
of Liverpool consists of two separate buildings (containing blocks A-C and D-F respectively). Grand Central was constructed on the site of a former children's hospital and was completed in 2003, it is 13 storeys tall, making it one of the city's taller halls of residence. There are 1,210 flats in Grand Central, with three different room types (en-suite, non-ensuite and studio).
