The Intermodal Station is designed to be integrated into a pedestrian-friendly downtown that will feature approximately 1200000 square feet (111,483.6 m²) of office space, 120000 square feet (11,148.4 m²) of retail space, and 1,784 new housing units (of which over 654 have already been built), a “town square” style plaza, and a 30000 square feet (2,787.1 m²) community center. amenities are planned to be within a five-minute walk of the existing BART Station. It is planned as a transit hub, connecting to local bus lines and BART.
