Winstead left Air America March 3, 2005. At the time, word was that the split is amicable among all parties. However, in May 2005 Winstead sued Air America for back pay.

By March 2005, fewer than half of Air America's affiliates were airing the show, which ceased production March 31, 2005 and was replaced by a show hosted by Jerry Springer
