Ulundurpettai taluk is a taluk of Viluppuram district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The headquarters of the taluk is the town of Ulundurpettai.

According to the 2001 census, the taluk of Ulundurpettai had a population of 294593 with 147591 males and 147002 females. There were 996 women for every 1000 men. The taluk had a literacy rate of 57.65. The total number of households was 62,266. Ulundurpet is a taluk headquarters in the southern region of Viluppuram District of Tamil Nadu. Close to Cuddalore District border, this prominent town is on the National Highway 68 between Viluppuram and Kallakurichi. Viluppuram is around 25 km north.
Sri Sarada Ashram is a spiritual center in Ulundurpet. Annai Teresa College of Engineering is located here. Thirunarungondai (known for Jain temples) and Jinagiri Teerth are about 16 km and 25 km away. Thiruvennainallur is a Shivasthalam at about 7 km north. Perianayagi Madha Shrine at Konankuppam, is accessible from here.
Veppur, Virudhachalam, Thiruvennainallur, Asanur, Elavanasur and Tirunavalur (or Tirunamanallur) are directly connected by road to Ulundurpet.
Ulundurpet Railway Station falls on the Viluppuram-Virudhachalam rail route. Nearest domestic airport is Tiruchirapalli Airport and the international airport is Chennai International Airport.
The Airstrip at Ulundurpet was built during world war Two and was used for a short while as a hopping point during aerial spraying operations conducted quite a few years back.Presently used for food storage.
