Uche Innocent Nwofor is a Nigerian footballer currently playing for VVV Venlo
as a striker.
He left in summer 2009 to go on loan to Nigerian premier league side Shooting Stars F.C. where he played for one season before joining Rangers FC.
Nwofor signed with VVV Venlo
in August 2011,
despite receiving an offer from Portuguese club S.L. Benfica.
Following interest from other clubs, Reports monitored in the media suggested that Nwofor might be forced to abandon the contract which he previously signed with Venlo for a more lucrative one however Nwofor stated in an interview that he was happy to start life in Holland as a professional player and resounded his wish to play for VVV Venlo.
On the 11th of September 2011 Uche Nwofor announced his arrival by scoring on his debut for VVV Venlo
in a thrilling 3:3 home draw with PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch top-flight on Sunday.
