Following interest from other clubs, Reports monitored in the media suggested that Nwofor might be forced to abandon the contract which he previously signed with Venlo for a more lucrative one however Nwofor stated in an interview that he was happy to start life in Holland as a professional player and resounded his wish to play for VVV Venlo.
