. Its problem archive has over 2800 problems and user registration is open to all users. There are currently over 100000 registered users. A user may submit a solution in C, C++

UVa OJ also hosts contests. In the contest environment the user has a limited time to solve a small set of problems.
The judge became open to the public only in April 1997. In November 2000 UVa hosted the SWERC programming
contest. In 2007 a new system and server replaced the old system which is still available at http://online-judge.uva.es/problemset/.

The UVa OJ was created in 1995 by Ciriaco Calis, a student of informatics of University of Valladolid.The judge became open to the public only in April 1997. In November 2000 UVa hosted the SWERC programming
