UGA Food Services is the only dining service on the University of Georgia

. It is the largest employer of students on the main Athens campus. It is traditionally split into two divisions, Dining Services and Retail Operations.

Administration

UGA Food Services is currently under the control of J. Michael Floyd, Executive Director of Food Services and UGA Marketing. He is in charge of the administration aspects of the department. Jeanne Fry is the current Director. She is in charge of daily operations and personnel of the department.

Dining Services

Dining Services includes Oglethorpe Dining Commons, Snelling Dining Commons, Bolton Dining Commons, and The Village Summit at Joe Frank Harris Commons. Each of these facilities are "all you care to eat facilities" that can be accessed by meal plan patrons or cash paying costumers.

Retail Operations

Retail Operations includes Bulldog Cafe, Tate Cafe (Food court inside Tate II), Red Clay Cafe, Campus Catering, and many other "convenience store" type locations. UGA Food Services is self sustained as an Auxiliary Service of the University of Georgia

UGA Food Services is ranked in the top 5 food services programs within the National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS). It has received 67 Loyal E. Horton awards, and is a recipient of the prestigious Ivy Award.

Plan Options

UGA Food Services supplies students with two meal plan options, the 5 day or 7 day meal plans give students the choice of "all you care to eat" plans that best suit their needs.

Student Employment

UGA Food Services employees hundreds of students each academic year to aid in its operations. Positions start from Student Employee all the way up to Student Manager.
