On Friday, December 8, 2006 the Tucson Tilt ceased operations. This was due to an ill-advised business plan based heavily on donations and sponsorships that heretofore had not materialized.

. A dispersal draft was held to place all players, who have met their financial obligations to the Team. The WSHL dispersal draft was to be held prior to Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2006.
