History

Tsushima Station was opened on as a terminal station of a section of line owned by Bisai Railroad. It opened along with Yatomi Station

, which was the other terminal station, and Saya Station. Nagoya Railroad (Meitetsu) bought Bisai Railroad on August 1, 1925, and with that, Tsushima Station became a station on the Bisai Line operated by Nagoya Railroad. On October 25, 1932, former Shin-Tsushima Station on Nagoya Railroad's Tsushima Line joined Tsushima Station, this station, on the Bisai Line, and the two became the one station called Tsushima Station.
