- In the popular manga and anime series Naruto, a character called Tsunade is the Hokage of the village where Naruto lives. Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru appear as three legendary ninja known as the Sannin. Naruto
' s Tsunade can summon slugs into battle, up to and including Kaiju-sized monsters. This summoning ability is predicated on Tsunade having established a blood-contract with all slug species. Jiraiya and Orochimaru can also summon toads and snakes (respectively), and Orochimaru is also capable of transforming into a snake.
