The mountain has two peaks: the north one is 1596 metres (5,236.2 ft) tall and the south one is 1616 metres (5,301.8 ft). Both peaks are accessible from the west in the summer and winter, where the Norwegian Mountain Touring Association

has the cabin Trollheimshytta, but a sharp and steep ridge east of the northern peak is problematic in the winter for access from the east. In the east, there is the cabin Jøldalshytta.
