Her former partner Rodney Overby was found guilty of an assault charge against her in 2007. She has a daughter Tashia Overby who attended West Pennant Hills Public School. Trish often was a role model to students especially on a school annual Olympic Day where she was enjoyed by most.
The assault with her husband was featured as a top story in the Daily Telegraph. After the assault by her husband she posted an AVO against him.
In 2008, Fallon (now Trish Dykstra) returned to Sydney Uni Flames
