History

The maiden issue of the Trinity Observer was published on July 31, 1967.

When Martial Law was imposed in September 1972, the Trinity Observer, along with other student publications, was padlocked. In 1977, the student paper was again shut down. According to former staff writers, the student paper had published a poem in its Literary Section that the university had deemed subversive.

In 1983, the Trinity Observer resumed publication.
