Trevor Noah is an award winning South African comedian. He became well known in South Africa as the "Customer Experience Officer" (Often comically shortened to CEO) of Cell C
, through their "Tell Trevor" marketing campaigns. He has also been a radio DJ, actor and TV presenter.

Noah then went on to host an educational programme on SABC2 followed by hosting The Real Goboza- a gossip show on SABC1.
Noah dropped his radio show and acting to focus on comedy, and has performed with South African comedians such as Riaad Moosa, Darren Simpson, Marc Lottering, Barry Hilton and Nik Rabinowitz

Trevor Noah has performed all around the country in The Blacks Only Comedy Show, Heavyweight Comedy Jam sponsored by radio 94.7 and the Vodacom Campus Comedy Tour. In 2011 Noah will perform at the Cape Town International Comedy Festival.

It has been suggested that Noah's original video was part of the build up to this announcement but he denied this.

Trevor Noah had a small role on the South African soap opera, Isidingo in 2002, when he was 18. He then began hosting his own radio show “Noah’s Ark” on Gauteng’s leading youth radio station, YfmYFM
