Tornagrain is a hamlet in the Scottish Highlands
. Situated around 7 miles northeast of the city of Inverness
, it falls within the Highland council area for local government purposes. Tornagrain lies 2km south of Inverness (Dalcross) Airport; and 2.5km east of Castle Stuart Golf Course which was developed in 2009 and hosted the Barclays Scottish Open Championship for the first time in 2011.
Plans to expand Tornagrain into a community for 10,000 residents have been submitted to planning authorities by the Moray Estate. If successful, the project could begin in 2013.
