Early life

Tony Packard was born on the 14th of April 1943 to Timothy Packard and Maude Packard. He attended the Peter Symonds private school Winchester Clerk. After school he worked at Barclays Bank in London.
In 1967 Tony migrated to Australia with Best friend Peter shade.

Personal life

After coming to Australia, Tony married Roslyn and had 4 children to her; Timothy, Ross, Penny and Kate. However, Tony and Roslyn's marriage ended.
Tony then in 1986 married Kim McWhinney, a Sydney based model. Shortly after they had a son name Edward and a daughter named Alexandra.

Tony Packard Holden

Well known for his television commercials that used the catch phrase "just up the Windsor Road from Baulkham Hills, and let me do it right for you!". Tony Packard Holden was one of the most profitable and successful dealerships of its time selling unprecedented units of cars per month.

Charity work

He was Deputy National President of the Variety Club of Australia for four years, Chairman of the Baulkham Hills Orange Blossom Festival for seven years, and on the committee of the Breakthrough Foundation, a charity formed to help homeless children.

. After winning the by-election he was re-elected in the general election the following year with 67% of the vote.
While an MP, Packard was charged over earlier use of a concealed listening device in his car dealership and forced to resign from Parliament in 1993.

Mr Packard currently resides in Melbourne and is a highly regarded automotive sales trainer responsible of the success of numerous car dealerships across Australia.
