 on loan in March 2004 and made his debut against Leigh RMI. Following his release from Notts County, Hackworth signed permanently for Scarborough in summer 2004 and became a first team regular. Hackworth was released by Scarborough in May 2006 but re-signed again at the start of July 2006. He scored nine goals in 39 appearances in the 2006–07 season. After Scarborough's dissolution
