Tomakivka - a Ukrainian town, region set of Tomakivskyi Raion
of Dnipropetrovsk region.
It is set on confluence of Tomakivka and Kyslichuvata rivers.
Population is about 8,000.
(also see Zaporozhian Cossacks). First constant settlement was established there at 1552 under name "Ukhod Tomakivka". The town of Tomakivka has direct root from cossack's host on Tomakivka island. After destroying Ukrainian cossack state Zaporizka Sich all cossack's villages were more populated. At 1777 cossack's village Tomakivka was granted State sloboda status.
