The artist responded by saying that although he made the challenge to other male artists (who would supposedly respond by making similar videos), that the video is strictly intended for "the ladies" viewing pleasure, and that it was not intended to be seen by those who mocked his sexuality (assumed male viewers).
"Tipsy (In Dis Club)" received high rotation in clubs everywhere, the song climbed the charts and debuted at #52 on the Billboard Charts, making "Tipsy (In Dis Club)" Pretty Ricky's biggest hit since Pretty Ricky's 2007 smash hit "On The Hotline".
