Tingtingru is the first born son of the legendary Wanmelbu

He is the second high chief of this place and contributed a lot in the traditional development of kastom economy and the chief ranking system in North Ambrym. Tingtingru had a vision during his sleep where he found out how to create value into this kastom ceremonies and system. He saw in his dream the face of the tam-tam (atingting). Chief Tingtingru Yafu created the first tam-tam, that is still today the main representative element of Vanuatu
