, TicketStumbler does not carry any ticket inventory or sell tickets directly. Instead, it presents aggregated ticket provider data to its users. Upon selecting tickets, users are directed to a third-party ticket provider to finalize their purchase.

TicketStumbler was founded by childhood friends Tom Davis and Dan Haubert who grew up together in Sylvania, OH. TicketStumbler was created using the Django framework and offers a free API. In June 2008, TicketStumbler received $15,000 in seed funding from YCombinator. Per the website TicketStumbler.com, Dan Haubert died unexpectedly, and his partner Tom Davis shut down the site soonthereafter. The site now links to Tom's new project, Swaptitude.
