. On coins his royal title is in Greek: ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΑΥΡΟΜΑΤΟΥ or of King Sauromates. Little is known on the life and reign of Sauromates III. When Sauromates III died, he was succeeded by his brother Rhescuporis IV.
