History
The Three Rivers Conference formed in 1975, and was largely the result of the dissolution of two conferences that had also included high schools in Iowa. Fulton, Morrison, Riverdale, Savanna and Sterling Newman had been part of the Illowa Conference along with Iowa schools North ScottNorth Scott High School

The league's final football season was 1998, but the conference offers championships in all other sports. For football, TRAC-9 schools paticpate in the Big Rivers Conference. The Big Rivers Conference includes the TRAC-9 schools (with cooperatives for Erie-Prophetstown, and Amboy co-oping with LaMoille from the Little Ten Conference), along with two Tri-County ConferenceTri-County Conference (Illinois)
