Thomas Powell was an English land owner during the colonial period of American history in the Province of New York. Thomas Powell purchased land in present day Huntington, Long Island in 1689 and in present day Oyster Bay, Long Island in 1695. Thomas Powell was a devote Quaker and called his land purchase in Oyster Bay Bethpage
