History

The Thessaloniki Documentary Festival was launched in March 1999 and was inspired by Dimitri Eipides.

The main programme focuses on documentaries that explore the social and cultural developments in the world. The Thessaloniki Documentary Festival is a non-competitive event. There are two Audience Awards as well as awards in conjunction with ERT3
