. This branch died out when Dietrich's son Frederick died in 1291. Landsberg was then sold to the House of Ascania.

Dietrich died in 1285. His tomb is located in Seußlitz, today part of Nünchritz

Marriage and issue

In 1258, Dietrich married Helen of Brandenburg (d. 1304), a daughter of Margrave John I of Brandenburg. They had three children:
  • Sophia, Abbess of Weißenfels (born: ; died: 24 August 1318)
  • Frederick Tuta, Margrave of Meissen (born: 1269; died: 16 August 1291)
  • Gertrude, a nun in Weißenfels (died: 17 January 1325 in Weißenfels)
