Whitmore attended St. James High School in Montego Bay, Jamaica, before moving on to play in the Jamaica National Premiere League. As a very skillful and creative for a player of his tall frame, he started his club career at Montego Bay Boys Club, and has since played for Violet Kickers

He has since been duly rewarded with a three year contract through 2014.
