 specialising in supplying unsigned artists with tools, video courses, guides, and information resources to empower them to market their own music and build careers as independent musicians.

History and overview

The Musicians Guide was founded by Marcus A. Taylor who previously managed UK independent record label

 Starharbour Records, a hip hop and R'n'B record label that represented artists including Red Tempa, Dean Raven, and Vigilante. The Musician's Guide was originally a 7-chapter guide book on how to market music and attract record labels, but soon after began developing a variety of different resources for musicians. Marcus' goal is to provide unsigned and independent artists with useful resources that will help to create the same opportunities for them that signed artists have.




In 2010 The Musicians Guide announced the launch of several new features including video courses and contact lists. Founder Marcus Taylor has also been the subject of local media attention from Oxford news publications including The Oxford Mail for setting up the venture while still studying his A levels.
