Plot

The child of Jewish immigrants, young Morris Goldfish (Ricardo Cortez) becomes a big success in business. He moves his family to Park Avenue, but finds they were happier back on the East Side. He changes his name to Maurice Fish, as he becomes more and more ashamed of his family and his origins. In the end he finds that there is more to life than money.
