Codeine was an American indie rock/slowcore band formed in 1989. They released two full-length albums — Frigid Stars in 1990 and The White Birch in 1994.-History:...

, one of the cornerstones of slowcore. They are sometimes called the "Norwegian Sigur Ròs." The trio was composed of Ola Fløttum, Hans Christian Almendingen and Ulf Rogde. They played together for 10 years, releasing 5 albums.
