History

The Wallbirds formed in early 2007 consisting of three cousins Anthony 'Walt' Lindley on vocals, guitar and harmonica, Chris Autey on Vocals, Drums and Luke Moreton on vocals and bass.
The name the wallbirds came about when Anthony was watching a nature programme when a bird called the wallbird popped up, a bird which eats bee's, then Anthony thought that would be a great name for a band.
The played their first gig in January 2007, just six hours after forming the band, and played a total of four songs.

In autumn/winter of 2007 the band toured the UK with The Pigeon Detectives

At the end of October 2008, the Wallbirds set off to London

 with no record label backing, just them and an independent A&R man. They travelled the country using various studios, like the legendary RAK Studios

's studio) and they tracked the drums and bass at The Way studios in Hackney

. This was done because of the vintage 8000 series NEVE desk, they also travelled to Livingston Studios, Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire and Park Lane in Glasgow. Vocals were recorded in Dean St. Studios, London, and editing was all done in Moloko Studios. The reason for this is to make sure they used the best vintage recording equipment and instruments to get the sound they wanted.

While making the album The Wallbirds forged a great partnership with session musicians Luke 'The Duke' Smith on keyboards, Mike Brown on electric guitar and Harry Morgon on percussion whose services have been used by artists such as George Michael, BB King, Eric Clapton to name a few and now The Wallbirds. The outcome of this is a debut album called Changes with the Moon .
The Wallbirds will be flying over to L.A to work with the legendary Bob Clearmountain who is to mix the debut album Changes with the Moon and also bob as mixed the single "Lying at the Side of You" which as already seen the likes of BBC Radio two DJ'S Janice Long, Chris Evans, Terry Wogan and Alex Lester. Also BBC6 DJ'S Shaun Keavney and Chris Hawkins, playing the single on their shows.
